Ingredients

What's inside should never be mysterious.

Every LyfeScoop product lists every ingredient, its role in the cup and its caffeine contribution. This page explains how we source, describe, test and store what goes into the tin.

Dried green tea leaves close up

Ingredients

Tea leaves and botanicals. That's the list.

LyfeScoop blends are made from tea leaves (black, green, oolong and white) and botanicals such as citrus peel, ginger root, mint, chamomile and lemon balm. Each product page names every ingredient in the blend — nothing is grouped under a proprietary blend name.

Sourcing

Origin is published where it is verified.

Where the origin of a major ingredient has been verified for a batch, it is listed on the product page. Where it has not, the product page says so rather than guessing. We do not use origin as a marketing flourish.

Testing

We publish documentation, not adjectives.

When laboratory documentation exists for a batch — for example a certificate of analysis for caffeine content or a contaminant screen — it is posted on this page and linked from the product it covers, with the batch number and test date. Documentation is added as batches are tested; nothing is listed here until the paperwork is in hand.

We do not describe testing that has not been performed, we do not summarize results that are not published, and we do not use the phrase “clinically proven”. Questions about a specific batch: [email protected].

Caffeine

Stated per prepared serving, as an approximation.

Caffeine in tea depends on leaf type, leaf quantity, water temperature and steep time. We state caffeine per prepared serving as an approximation based on the preparation instructions on each product page. For reference, caffeine levels in brewed coffee vary significantly by bean, serving size and preparation method.

Flavoring

Named on the label.

If a blend contains natural flavoring, it is listed as an ingredient on the product page and on the package. We do not use artificial colors.

Sweeteners

Listed if present.

Any sweetener is listed as an ingredient on the product page and package. Our teas are designed to be prepared without added sugar; what you add at home is up to you.

Allergens

On every product page and package.

Allergen information for each product appears on its product page and on the package. If you have an allergy or sensitivity, review the full ingredient list before purchasing and contact us with questions.

Storage

Cool, dark, dry, sealed.

Tea keeps best away from light, heat, moisture and strong odors. Keep the tin sealed and out of direct sunlight, and use within the period printed on the package for the best cup.

Manufacturing

Certifications are claimed only when verified.

Descriptions such as organic, non-GMO, vegan, gluten-free, third-party tested, GMP manufactured or Made in USA appear on a product only when they have been verified for that product. If a description is not on the product page, we are not claiming it.

Water pouring from a glass kettle on black

The other ingredient

Water, temperature and time do most of the work.

Two people can brew the same tea and get two different cups. That is why every product page includes exact preparation guidance — leaf quantity, water volume, temperature and steep time — and why we prefer a kettle with a temperature setting to guesswork.
